Biography

Ryan Babbage is a founder, commercial strategist and investor. He is Founder & CEO of OceanMerge® and OceanBlocks®, and works with founders, business owners and boards on technology commercialisation, international growth and strategic transactions, with a particular focus on Australia and the Gulf. He has 21 years of experience in M&A.

Through OceanMerge, he advises on commercial readiness, international growth, IP commercialisation, M&A strategy and transaction preparation. Qatar is a priority GCC market, where OceanMerge is establishing a presence.

At OceanBlocks, a clean energy and hydrogen developer headquartered in ADGM, Abu Dhabi, he leads the commercial development of projects and partnerships across the GCC.

He is also Co-founder & CEO of MindGo, a venture undergoing strategic redevelopment, and Investor & Strategist at Stacked Up, an Australian consumer nutrition and wellness brand. He invests personally in early-stage technology companies, and was previously Board Director & Strategist at Eastern Innovation Business Centre (EIBC), 2018–2021.
